Its been almost one year since I started this DA account. I had really big plans for submitting all kinds of things. Then I got burned over art during the spring semester and it took me about five months to get over it. Now I'm drawing again and what happens--I don't have access to a scanner!! So yeah. I'm using this little situation as a way to motivate me to work on my photography skills. I submitted a few today, and hope to do a couple more shoots over the next couple of weeks. I admit, I'm not the best photographer out there, but I'm using this as a means to grow and explore this medium. :) So. Yeah. Comments and critiques on the photos

Wow. The summer passes and by the time I return to DA it looks different!! Sheesh. lol. Why this prolonged absence on my part? I stepped away from DA mostly because I was going through an intensely painful period of creative self-doubt for most of the summer. I think I really burned myself out doing projects for classes during the spring semester. Everyone keeps telling me that its only school--it doesn't really matter in the long run. But to me art is about putting a piece of myself on display. Its an intensely personal activity for me, and after doing assignments all spring I just didn't have anything left in me! I'm going on a complete nostalgia kick right now--everything is '80s related. My gosh, I was only 5 when the 1980s were over, but heck, I remember a tiny bit. :giggle: I've got '80s influenced music playing (fischerspooner rocks!) and plan on watching The Neverending Story tonight.
